Beatronic
offers to modify the chambers with an advanced EMC shielding. The first
model modified was the VT 4002 which become model VT 4002EMC.
This version (1.00) was developed in cooperation with Nokia
Mobile Phones in Denmark and the latest revision are currently supplied to 3 different mobile
phone producers in more than 8 different countries around the world.
Also manufactures of wireless access points, car
alarms, hearing aid, GPS systems, computer motherboard and similar product
developer, has purchased the now famous VT 4002EMC test chamber.
The patent pending EMC shielding technique, developed
especial for temperature and climatic test chambers, has allowed us to
produce a considerable numbers units of this type, over a period of only 3 years.
It is a niche market but all producers of radio wave
electronics, potential needs to shut out the surrounding EMI noise and
measure the sensitivity at different temperatures. |
 |
The solution
with a EMC-box inside the test space are serious compromising the chambers
thermal performance.
Alternative; to fit the temperature test chamber, instruments and operator in a big
EMC cage, is not very flexible.
The test chamber with EMC sealing incorporated in the
test space walls, seams to be the best solution for most users. |
 |
In 2006 we
also sealed a 340 litre test chamber with our EMC shielding technique, with
great success and delivered finished product to a customer in China.
Here the VT 4034EMC is undergoing the final EMC
damping measurements. |

under production.
Each unit will be submitted to a full functions test and
re-calibration before shipment.
We can implement the EMC seal both into used
(RETROFIT) and new equipment, with equal good result. It is, however,
recommended that used chamber are in good condition, with a perfect
operation record and not much older than 2-3 years. |
 |
The concept
is constantly undergoing further development and improvements to increase
the EMC damping. Every time an change are introduced, the unit will undergo a
full EMC test according to the norm NT ELEC 030 from 1997.
Recently the VT 4002 EMC has been tested from 0,5 up to 6
GHz with good results, almost 57dB damping on average and more than 75 dB in
the 800-1000 Mhz area. |

The entry module allows the user to supply the
DUT with power and at the same time extract measuring result from the
shielded space. The module are exchangeable and can be manufactured to
customer
specifications. This module is a "standard ver.
1.XX" module |

VT 4002EMC
version 2, with entry modules in both left and right side of the test space.
The module here holds 6 x 9 pole D-subs and 12 DC lead
trough in one side and 6 x 24 SMAs on the other side.
The modules are interchangeable and can switched or
changed to other versions. |
 |
Another
special entry module. The SMA are the largest contributor to the thermal
leak in the test chamber. It is always a good idea to reduce the numbers of connections and
thereby increase the change rate and overall performance of the EMC chamber.
